Dog psychology? My 8 yo dog has taken to shredding paper from waste baskets during the night?
We lost our 18 yo cat and since then, the dog has started doing this. No other tendancies showing, but we wonder if he's missing the cat? Or?

As your dog has only just started to do this since your cat died then I would put money on the fact that of course he misses his friend, regardless of whether they got on well
Is there any way you could find another friend for him to play with to maybe fill the gap your cat left?
