Calling all dog trainers! How do I get my dogs to stop chewing on a wooden post I have in my backyard?
It's an 8x12 wooden post that holds up the patio along with another on the other side. I have two white labradors that keep chewing on it and now the paint is chipped off and the wood is all distorted with teeth marks.
So, dog trainers, what method can I use to make them stop chewing it up? No sarcastic answers please!
Answer: We had this exact same problem with our labs. They were making a real mess of the post. My mum put tobasco (if you're not sure it's a spicy kind of sauce thing you use in cooking) on the post, where they were chewing. One taste and they never went back! It might wear off though so if they go back a second time just put more on.
